CASE STUDY
Nice and private in Newton.
New-build homes come with plain gardens ready to personalise, but a big issue can be privacy. An overlooked garden on a new estate was our challenge to transform, and we started with a corner patio that attracted sunshine but no prying eyes. As the garden was on a slope, the lower-level patio also contributed to a lovely view from the house. Two paved seating areas and thoughtful lighting set the scene for entertaining, while a natural stone wall allowed us to level the lawn ready for the grandchildren to enjoy. Finally, a Lake District standing stone created a stunning focal point, as well as having personal meaning for the clients, who had relocated from Cumbria.
