The remit for this project was to provide a dynamic space for an active family to spend quality time together and apart.
For designs to work there has to be practical as well as aesthetical applications. The challenge lied within creating an entertainment space that appealed to a very active young family. The design included a swim spa, hot tub and sauna, attracting both parents and kids to enjoy healthy outdoor activities.
They started with a design commission that honed in on how to make the most out of the space they had whilst making it usable day and night and all year round. The design had to consider a landscaped environment that allowed for easy access and seating. We acknowledged that if the design was practical, the level of use and enjoyment will increase for this active family.
This technical design had to contend with many considerations such as levels, drainage with virtually zero tolerances in alignment to produce a seamless finish. The large equipment naturally provided a modern look to the garden, which we complemented with lighting to create a fun atmosphere for the family to continue using the space at night.
